Next Friday (28th): Children’s Retreat - for pre-First Communion infants and Children, aged 2-7, in Annexe. Activities, songs and prayers.

Next Sunday: CENTENARY FAYRE OF PARISH GROUPS
3pm -5pm in the Church. A great one-off chance to meet and learn about our 40-odd groups.
4 00 p.m. our new Website will be demonstrated, including how each of our groups can easily make use of this great resource.
5:00 pm Blessed Sacrament will be brought back in Solemn procession

FIRST COMMUNION INTERVIEWS Parents of children in Year 3 & 4 are asked to take a light blue form from back of Church and ring Clergy House between 10 & 2 any weekday to arrange a November Sat morning interview with Mrs Edwards at Clergy Ho. Parent(s) will need to come with child and completed application form to this interview. If you have an older child who has not yet received Holy Communion please take and fill in a dark green application form handing it back to Clergy House before Nov 18th. There is no need to arrange an interview for older children.

AUTUMN DRAW: from Sat 30th Oct, on leaving the Church, tickets for our Annual Autumn Draw will be available at Church doors. Raffle is in aid of the Building Fund. As this is last yr for this purpose, we ask everyone to make a special effort in selling these tickets for our beautiful Church.

CENTENARY CHRISTMAS CARDS: With pictures of our Church at Christmas, notelets & engraved pens, all in commemoration of our centenary year. They will be on sale at the SECO stall 30thOct @Fayre. Proceeds to Building Fund. Remaining cards will be available in Repository.

NOVEMBER PRAYERS FOR THE DEAD
BETHANY MASS – Friday 11th at 7:30 p.m. Each year during Nov there is an additional Mass for all those whose funerals have taken place in our Church during the past year. There names will be read out All parishioners are welcome to come, there will be refreshments after Mass.
There will be NO 6:30 p.m. on this Friday
BLESSING OF GRAVES ST MARY’S, KENSAL GREEN Sunday 6th November at 2.30pm. (meeting at the chapel): Sunday (13th) at Carpender’s Pk Other times to follow.

MORE CHURCH CLEANERS needed - to be on rota about once every 4 wks on a Fri morning (or at another time by arrangement) for just one hour. Details to Clergy Ho or Bill Mawn.

Quarant’ore- Forty hours devotion for the Blessed Sacrament, 6.30pm Thurs 27th Oct to 7.00pm Sat 29th Oct- Westminster Cathedral. St Mary Magdalen’s has been given the Sat 9 am –10 am slot.
NEXT SATURDAY Fr Nimal will be leading a group down leaving here at 7:30 am to ‘watch for an hour’. Please sign up on list on table at back.

AT YOUR WORD LORD: 2nd week’s theme: Stewards of God’s Gifts: Christian Care for Creation. Reflection groups continue this week,the groups will be meeting in the Church Annexe (except for Tues Youth group and Thurs.s) for 6 weeks on Sun.s 7:30 pm, Mon.s 10:30 am, Tues.s 7:30 p.m. (Youth group in Clergy House), Wed. s 7:30 p.m and Thurs.s 7:00 p.m. (Exeter Rd). Anyone can pop along to one of these groups if they would like.

12 NOON MASS This Mass is gradually becoming a ‘Sung’ Mass, i.e. with Psalm and
Aclamations etc being sung, sometimes in Gregorian chant. New singers needed!

CHURCH ANNEXE. Children going into this room (e.g. for parents to make use of live sound relay of the Mass) must be supervised at all times. There is often an urn with boiling water in there.

ST MARY MAGDALEN WEDNESDAY CLUB-“Come & spend an afternoon with us, we are a group or people, friendly & jolly who meet at Kings Hall Community Centre, Harlesden Rd, every Wednesday afternoon at 1.45 pm to have a cup of tea, chat or play cards, then for half an hour or so we play bingo (small money prizes) until 3.30pm. All are welcome.”

DINNER & DANCE popular Annual K.S.C. event takes place Sat 19th Nov at Mazenod Centre, Quex Rd. 5-course meal Dancing until Midnight. Cost: £25 per Head. call Tom 8451-2243 or Tim 8459-3901.
COMMENTATED MASSES On the weekend of Remembrance Sunday (November 12th/13th) Fr John Edwards S.J. will preach at and commentate upon all Masses as part of the end of the Year of the Eucharist and preparation for our Centenary Advent Mission which he will preach at.

GRACED IN THE SPIRIT
The feedback from our recent questionairre on future diocesan structures is on an A4 sheet on the noticeboard to the right of the Knights’ noticeboard.
There is deanery-wide meeting to discuss such feedback at Cardinal Hinsley school on Sunday 30th October, 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.

Towards Advent- Sat 5th Nov, Wesminster Cathedral Hall at 10.30 – a national festival of Catholic Culture. Music & Liturgy with Jeremy Satge of “Music Makers” who has helped with singing training in our parish earlier this year. @ 12 noon Workshop.

THE BEGINNING EXPERIENCE are holding their next week-end for those who find themselves alone again through divorce, separation or bereavement, from 28th to 30th October 2005 at All Saints Pastoral Centre, London Colney. Details can be found on the poster at the back of the Church.

PATH TO ROME CONFERENCE to be held at Queens Hotel, Crystal Palace, over the week-end 12th/13th November 2005. Come and hear famous Catholic Leaders and famous Converts to the Catholic Church. Leaflet on board at back of church.

YOUTH ST VINCENT DE PAUL for 14-17 year olds, starts again this Saturday (15th) October 5:30 p.m. in the Annexe. This will be an introductory meeting to enable non-members to decide if they want to join. There will be some eats afterwards from 6:30 pm

AT YOUR WORD LORD Reflection groups start next week (i.e. not this week!): groups will be meeting for six weeks on Tuesdays 7:30 p.m. (Annexe), Wednesdays 7:30 p.m (Annexe) and Thursdays 7:00 p.m. (Exeter Rd). If you still want to join fill in a blue card at back of Church & put in green basket or give to a priest.

12 NOON CHOIR - Rehearsal next Sunday after 12 noon Mass. All welcome.

NEXT SUNDAY 3:00 pm The Polish Catholic community based around Walm Lane will be celebrating their Golden Anniversary with a High Mass in our Church. Congratulations to them!

FAITH YOUTH DAY 11-15 yr olds Our next outing is to New Addington parish for the afternoon of Saturday 22nd October leaving our Church at 1:00 p.m. returning 8:00 p.m. This will also be a reunion for those who went of the Faith Summer Break. This trip will lead by our two youth workers, Tillie and Martin, who are helping with our Youth Club. Forms from Fr Hugh from next weekend.

SECONDARY TRANSFER INTERVIEWS Those parishioners still needing Fr Hugh to sign secondary application forms must urgently ring Clergy Ho between 10 & 2 any weekday to arrange an interview. Child must attend this interview.

CAFOD FAMILY FAST DAY 7TH Oct. Once again we have a chance to help our less fortunate brothers. Family Fast Day asks us to make a sacrifice, to eat less as a family on that day and whatever we save to give. Please take an envelope home with you today and help CAFAD to make poverty history by sharing what you can with those in need. Please remember to fill in the gift aid form on the back of the envelope, it really does make a difference. Envelopes will be collected on Sun 9th.
