CAFOD FAMILY FAST DAY 7TH Oct. Once again we have a chance to help our less fortunate brothers. Family Fast Day asks us to make a sacrifice, to eat less as a family on that day and whatever we save to give. Please take an envelope home with you today and help CAFAD to make poverty history by sharing what you can with those in need. Please remember to fill in the gift aid form on the back of the envelope, it really does make a difference. Envelopes will be collected on Sun 9th.
FIRST COMMUNION CLASSES will start in Jan. This yr they will be on Thursday eve.s from 6:30 -7:30pm. Interviews of parents & children will take place in November. Watch this space.

DINNER & DANCE this very popular Annual K.S.C. event takes place on Sat 19th Nov at the Mazenod Center, Quex Rd. A 5-course meal of Christmas Fayre, Dancing until Midnight. Cost: same as last yr £25 per Head. To book call Tom 020-8451-2243 or Tim 020-84593901.
FAITH YOUTH DAY 11-15 yr olds Our next outing is to New Addington parish for the afternoon of Saturday 22nd October leaving our Church at 1:00 p.m. returning 8:00 p.m. This will also be a reunion for those who went of the Faith Summer Break. This trip will lead by our two youth workers, Tillie and Martin, who are helping with our Youth Club. Forms from Fr Hugh from next weekend.
St James’ Catholic High School will be holding a Quiz Night at the school on Friday 14th Oct @ 7.30pm This is one of a number of social events held during the year to raise much needed funds for the school. Tickets can be purchased on the night- Family ticket priced @ £5Adult ticket £2 & Child£1.

A great one-off chance to meet and learn about our 40-odd different groups. At 4 00 p.m. our new Website will be demonstrated, including how each of our groups can easily make use of this great resource.
YOUTH ST VINCENT DE PAUL We are pleased to announce that , by popular request, our Youth SVP for 14-17 year olds, especially those just confirmed, will start again on Saturday 15th October 5:30 p.m. in the Annexe. This will be an introductory meeting to enable non-members to decide if they want to join.
