-- FIRST HOLY COMMUNION PREPARATION PARENTS MEETING
Thursday 1st December 7:30 p.m. Jesus and Mary infants Convent, Park Avenue.
(Catechists meeting Tuesday 6th December 7:30 p.m. Church Annexe)

-- PADRE PIO prayer group will meet in our Lady’s Chapel Thursday next, 1st December, at 8.00pm for Mass Rosary and prayers for the sick. All are welcome.
-- 12 NOON CHOIR REHEARSAL Friday evening 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. – annexe.
-- CHILDREN’S ADVENT MISSION EVENT Sat 10:30 –11:30 for aged 2-7. Annexe
-- PRAYER AT BEDFORD SQUARE ABORTUARY 3:30–5:30 see opposite

PARISH NATIVITY PLAY will take place on Sunday 18th Dec as part of the Christmas Concert. All children from Reception to Year 6 are welcome to participate. Rehearsals start Sunday 4th December at 4.00pm in the Church; further rehearsal on Sunday 11th (at 2:30 p.m.) & Saturday 17th (at 4:00 p.m.)

GROUP LEADERS: We are hoping to develop our parish noticeboards. If your group would like to have a special notice space on one of our boards please mention to one of the priests after Mass or ring clergy House between 10 & 2 any weekday.

NEW PAMPHELTS Great selection of Catholic Truth Society pamphlets & leaflets available from pamphlet rack.E.g.20p leaflets on “Praying for the dead”& “Who can receive Communion?”
MIDNIGHT MASS We expect to have Cardinal Arinze, Head of the Congregation for Divine Worship and dean of the Cardinals with us for this. He is from Nigeria.
CONFIRMATION This year’s Confirmation services for those in Year 9 will be later than usual: Sat 8th and Sat 15th July. Interviews will take place in March. Watch this space.

MISSION WEEK: LED BY FR JOHN EDWARDS 3rd – 11th December
Fr John will preach at all Sunday Masses on the 4th and 11th December
A Mission is a chance for us all to ‘retreat’ a little from our daily routine and attempt to listen a little more intently to what God is currently saying to us, to discern the direction he is currently prompting us in. We believe that it’s easier for God to get through to us during such a time.

MISSION SERVICE is 9.30am & 6.30pm Mass: 10.25am & 7.25pm
Mon: Is our religion true? Tues: Repentance Weds: Our Lady
Thurs: Union with God: Grace Fri: Our Dead Each evening: Ways of praying

SERVICE ANOINTING OF THE SICK: At 4:00 p.m. on Sat 10th there will be a service especially for those who have serious or long-term sickness. We need VOLUNTEER CAR DRIVERS to enable people to get to this. Please see a priest after Mass or ring Clergy House 10-2 any weekday if you can help.

NOVENA OF PRAYER AND WITNESS AT A BRITISH PREGNANCY ADVISORY SERVICE ABORTUARY SUPPORTED BY CARDINAL CORMAC
This will take place concurrently with our Mission, from 3rd – 11th December, in Bedford Square, WC1, particularly 9-6 each weekday (9-8 on Thursday). It will be a prayerful and peaceful time. The Rosary will be said and counsellors will be available for any clinic attendees wanting to talk. Many parishes will be covering a two hour slot. Our assistant diocesan Bishop Longley will be there on Thursday 8th from 2:30 p.m. Our parish will be taking the slot next Saturday 3rd; 3:30 –5:30 p.m., leaving from the Church at 2:30 p.m. or Willesden Gn tube station at 2:45 p.m. Fr Hugh with will be leading the group.

ST MARY MAGDALEN WEDNESDAY CLUB-“Come & spend an afternoon with us, we are a group or people, friendly & jolly who meet at Kings Hall Community Centre, Harlesden Rd, every Wednesday afternoon at 1.45 pm to have a cup of tea, chat or play cards, then for half an hour or so we play bingo (small money prizes) until 3.30pm. All are welcome.”

THE BEGINNING EXPERIENCE are holding their next week-end for those who find themselves alone again through divorce, separation or bereavement, from 28th to 30th October 2005 at All Saints Pastoral Centre, London Colney. Details can be found on the poster at the back of the Church.

PATH TO ROME CONFERENCE to be held at Queens Hotel, Crystal Palace, over the week-end 12th/13th November 2005. Come and hear famous Catholic Leaders and famous Converts to the Catholic Church. FIRST COMMUNION INTERVIEWS Parents of children in Yrs 3&4 are asked to take a light blue form from back & ring Clergy Ho between 10&2 any weekday to arrange a chat with Mrs Edwards at Clergy Ho. Parent(s) must come with child & completed application form to this interview.
If you have an older child who has not yet received Holy Communion please take & fill in a dark green application form handing it back to Clergy House before Nov 18th. No interview needed.

AT YOUR WORD LORD: Final week of the final Season- theme: The Call to Holiness. Reflection groups this week, Sun: 7:30 pm Annexe; Mon: 10:20 am, Annexe; Tues: 7:30p.m. (Annexe), Wed: 7:30 p.m. (Annexe) and Thurs: 7:00 p.m. (Exeter Rd).

GENERAL PARISH INFORMATIONCHURCH ANNEXE. Children going into this room (e.g. for parents to make use of live sound relay of the Mass) must be supervised at all times. There is often an urn with boiling water in there.

CHRIST THE KING YOUTH MASS on Sunday 20th November, Youth Sunday, our 10:30 am Mass will have involve members of our Youth and Youth SVP. Any other young people who want to be involved with the readings or music please see one of the priests.

Next SAT (19th) visit to Stephen House No. 1 Heathfield Pk, at Junction of High Rd & Willesden Lane, probably Sat 4 p.m. No.1 Heathfield Park, or leave from Church 3:30 p.m. Those who signed up are now asked to confirm with Fr Hugh if they definitely want to come. (Confirmation to be texted)
Next Sunday (20th) 10:30 am Mass Reading, singing and playing musical instruments.
Following Saturday 26th Meeting 5:30 p.m. in Annexe to prepare hampers.

UNION OF CATHOLIC MOTHERS- Many thanks to all who bought or donated cakes last Sunday. The sum of £330.15 was raised for charity.
