Week of 26th February 2006
The 10:30 am MASS today will involve Inscription of Children for 1st Confession Today we take up the Cricklewood Homeless Collection It is possible to purchase tickets for our St Patrick’s Supper-Dance after Mass today.
Next week we take up our monthly Building Fund Collection.
THIS WEEK
ASH WEDNESDAY is this Wednesday. For able-bodied adults a day of fasting (at most one main meal & 2 snacks) and abstinence (no meat). Masses will be celebrated at 9.30am, 12noon and 7pm, and ashes will be blessed & distributed. Please note Ashes can only be distributed at Mass, not at any other time.
AT YOUR WORD LORD REFLECTION GROUPS
THE MONDAY and THURSDAY group meet this week as usual and during Lent respectively in the Annexe at 10:20 am and at the German centre, 40, Exeter Rd. 7pm The WEDNESDAY group will be meeting in the Annexe from 8th March Anyone wanting to join tell Fr Hugh
PADRE PIO GROUP meets this Thursday, 8 p.m. in the Annexe for Holy Mass etc.
THE YOUTH CLUB will lead a meditation on the Sorrowful Mysteries this Friday at 7pm
LENTEN CHILDREN’S RETREAT in the Annexe, Saturday, 10:30 am, for those of pre-First Communion age: -- i.e. 7 and under.
PARENT/TODDLER GROUP needs: Baby changing mats, child’s chalk board/painting easel or any toddler bikes. Please call Nicola Devlin on 07737 844729.
UPCOMING CENTENARY YEAR PARISH EVENTS
ST PATRICK’S SUPPER DANCE with a green theme- at St Mary Magdalen’s School, Linacre Road, on Sat 11th March at 8.00pm. Music provided by the popular Billy & The North Winds. Menu is Irish stew and apple pie with trimmings., Irish coffees to order and a bar. Tickets will be on sale Sundays to Mar 6th after all Masses. This promises to be a very enjoyable evening for all ages.
DAY PILGRIMAGE TO WALSINGHAM: Saturday10th June.
CATHOLIC YOUNG ADULTS: “What’s on and Happening?” – blue booklet surveying diocesan youth work: our parish figures prominently – now available from bottom of pamphlet rack, opposite newspaper rack.

Tuesday: FIRST HOLY COMMUNION PARENTS Meeting in St Mary Magdalen’s Junior School, Linacre Rd, 7:30 p.m.
GOING TO FUNERAL RITES OF MATILDA ‘Tillie’ CALLAGHAN at Good Shepherd Church, Moorside Rd, Downham, near Bromley, Kent --- Wednesday Evening: Members of our youth club and SVP are going down for one hour of the three of the Wednesday evening with Fr Hugh, youth leaders and numerous parents, by tube and train. We leave from Church at 5:00 p.m. or from Willesden Green Tube Station at 5:20 pm.
--- Thursday Morning: We are taking a coach leaving form outside the Church at 9:20 am. Returning around 3:15 pm. Cost (subsidized) £6. Please sign on list at back of Church. We plan to attend funeral only, though its possible for those who wish to go to take train back –local train station, Grove Park, is only 20 mins from London

UPCOMING CENTENARY YEAR PARISH EVENTS
LENTEN REFLECTION AND MEDITATION on the EUCHARIST based upon Pope John Paul II’s final letter which was on this subject, for the recent Year of the Eucharist. Tuesday Evenings in March (7th ,14th, 21st, 28th) March and 4th April at 7.30pm for 30 min talks in the annexe and then move into the Church with 25mins led Meditation with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.

· CARDINAL’S WHITE PAPER on the future direction of the diocesan and parochial structures (limited copies available)
· CHRIST AMONG US books for small group and family weekly reflection during Lent.
This week is the school HALF-TERM. None of our Sacramental Preparation groups will be meeting during that time, nor will the Youth Club.

2006 PRIMARY SCHOOLS ADMISSIONS - Common Application Forms for both Reception and Year Three entry can be collected from Infant Convent school office.
