AFTER MASS TODAY IT IS POSSIBLE TO:

§ Purchase tickets for our centenary concert on 9th June - see facing page. … Last week Premier Radio called this “An awesome event” last week!
§ Take & distribute bundles of NEW white leaflets with full concert details from back table– e.g. in workplace, local shops etc
§ Give names to priests for our centenary parish family pilgrimage on 10th June
§ Sign up for giving international food for our Centenary evening on 24 June, on lists on tables at the back - see facing page.
§ Purchase the May edition of FAITH magazine with articles on The Da Vinci Code, ‘A Mother’s Diary’, the Pope conducting a wedding, talking to the lapsed etc., etc.

Next weekend we will take up our monthly collection for Cricklewood Homeless

THIS WEEK

Thursday: is the Feast of the ASCENSION It is a Holy Day of Obligation. Masses are Wed eve 6:30 p.m. (Vigil), and Thursday 9:30am (with Junior School), 12 noon & 7pm


Friday: ROCK OF THE ANOINTED MUSICAL Next Rehearsal takes place this Friday in St Mary Magdalen’s Junior School, in Linacre Rd, 7:00 pm-9pm. All ages & relevant interests needed. Not too late to take the plunge and make life more interesting.


Saturday 11:00 am TALK ON The Place of Mary in Roman Catholicism by Martin Plunkett in Clergy House to our JOURNEY IN FAITH GROUP but all who’d like to learn about this are welcome.

THE NEW SERVERS’ classes are now ended for half-term. The last 3 classes will be on Thursday afternoons, 5–6 pm , June, 8th,15th & 22nd - i.e. not Saturday mornings.

Sun 18th CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION 3 p.m. from Cardinal Hinsley School to Church of the Transfiguration, Kensal Rise - three other local parishes will be joining us.

Sat 24th INTERNATIONAL EVENING with Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O’Connor
6:30 p.m. Mass in Church followed by an international reception in Cardinal Hinsley School.
We invite parishioners to provide some food from their country of origin, signing at back.

§ Assisted Suicide Bill - Campaign leaflet from our Bishop’s is at the back. Please write to our M.P. asap. This scandalous bill has second reading in May.
§ New Planned Giving Envelopes for new financial year are available at the back.
§ There are new Catholic Truth Society pamphlets in the pamphlet rack.
§ Easter Edition of Bible Alive is available in newspaper rack.

YOUTH CLUB will restart on Tuesday 2nd May, continuing for ten Tuesdays (excluding 30t May, half-term) unit 11th July.

NEW SERVERS We will be running a servers’ training session for five term-time Saturday mornings (10:30 am – 11:30 am) from 13th May. Those parents of young people in Year Five or above (i.e. nearly ten year’s old upwards) who would like to learn how to serve at a Sunday.
Mass here are asked to give their names, addresses, telephone numbers and preferred Mass time to one of the priests.

· Assisted Suicide Bill - It’s possible to sign the important petition against this profoundly anti-life Euthanasia bill at the back of Church today. See also Campaign leaflet from our Bishops. Please also write to our M.P. asap. The bill has its second reading in May.

· We are collecting non-perishable foodstuffs for Cricklewood Homeless Concern.

· The New Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic church is available from the repository price £6:95.

Next Sunday we take up our monthly Building Fund Collection.

CORRECTION: Last week’s statement of the Building Fund Appeal status as at March 31st omitted the £4367 proceeds from the Christmas raffle. The published total was correctly stated as £246,302.83

We invite parishioners to provide some food from their country of origin. We need to know how much will be brought. At last year’s similar event there was a lot left over (despite large numbers attending). This was due to us not being aware of some quantities of food that arrived. Please sign up on the list at the back of Church, from next week, which will be organized by continent. Please also let us know the amount you hope to bring.

WE GIVE THANKS for the participation of so many in Our Lord’s Easter Triduum liturgical act-ion with there being standing room only on several occasions. We thank our secretaries, sacris-tans, singers & musicians for such careful & fruitful preparation. We thank the flower arrangers and cleaners for preparing the Church so well.
For making the liturgies reverent celebrations we thank the children’s catechists, servers, collectors, readers and extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion. And thanks to you all from Frs Hugh, Nimal and Kieron for your very generous Easter offerings, & for the other gifts and cards. May the Grace of Eastertide flow into your lives.
