ROCK OF THE ANOINTED MUSICAL:14th-16thJuly-Tickets Available Today

Today it is possible to purchase tickets for our production of the acclaimed Rock of the Anointed Musical on the life of King David, written by Tillie Callaghan RIP and Edwin Fawcett, and produced for us by Martin Plunkett, our Youth Worker. Advance tickets £3 (£2 U-16 yr olds).

Performances will be on Friday 14th July at 7 p.m., Saturday 15th July at 7 p.m. and Sunday 16th July at 3 p.m. at the Jesus and Mary Infant Convent Park Avenue.

This ‘Rock’ musical beautifully brings out how David discovered, through many ups and downs, how God was his ‘Rock’. The production of this Musical has received inspiration from the Tentieth Century apparitions and message of “Mary, Queen of Love” in San Martino, Schio, northern Italy. Leaflets concerning this apparition are in the wall holder near the Church exit. Our production is part of the diocesan Open the Doors Weekend

NEXT SUNDAY 6:30pm Mass will involve Rite of Election for Confirmation candidates

NEXT SUNDAY IS THE DAY FOR LIFE 2006 There will be a retiring collection for the important pro-life work of the Linacre Centre for Research. This year the Bishops of England and Wales ask us to consider positive value of disabled people from their conception - that is in a radically counter-cultural way.
We will be recalled to the very simple, profoundly rational insight which is at the foundation of civilization and morality and is tragically and dangerously being lost today, namely: killing innocent members of the human species is never ever a way forward for society or individuals in any circumstance.
One only ever destroys such a member in order to build up/help another. But this is a contradiction in terms, and the heart of selfishness.

THURSDAY is the Feast of Sts Peter and Paul. It is a Holy Day of Obligation. Masses will be on Wed at 6:30 pm (Vigil) and on Thurs 9:30 am (with the Junior School), 12 noon and 7 pm
