EMERGENCY RETIRING COLLECTION for those displaced and injured, and without sufficient help, in the current Holy land conflict. CAFOD will be directing funds to Caritas Lebanon and Caritas Jerusalem.

FAITH MAGAZINE July edition is out with articles by Delia Smith (famous cook and football personality), William Oddie on Catholic Journalism and editorial on popular modern attitudes to the divine authority of Christ in the Church.

St Mary Magdalen Junior School REBUILDING - Planning application will be heard by the Planning Committee at Brent Council 26th July ’06. We do not anticipate any problems in this. The schedule from then will be, tendering in the Autumn with Building work starting Spring 2007, completion of New School, Summer 2008. Please remember our school’s needs in your prayers so we may achieve our targets.

HOSPITAL ADMISSIONS patients should be asked if they wish to see a Chaplain. This fairly new statutory requirement is not yet being universally applied. It is sensible for patients wishing to see a Roman Catholic Chaplain to specify this on arrival, emphasizing ‘Roman Catholic’.
