MURAL BOOKLET It is possible to pick up a white “What the Mural means” des-cribing the illustration currently on the Church tower wall – produced by our Youth SVP.

CRICKLEWOOD HOMELESS COLLECTION of non-perishable foodstuffs in box in porch. No clothes please which, if left in porch, are thrown away.

MAGDALA Summer edition of parish mag now on sale – with articles on our centenary celebrations.

CATHOLIC FAMILY Newspaper 50p from newspaper rack.

MORNING COFFEE- there will not be any teas/coffees after 10.30 Mass during August.

THE MONDAY EVENING PRAYER GROUP has now broken up for the holidays.

MONDAY: The Faith summer session in Woldingham begins. Some young parishioners are going, we leave clergy House at 2:30 p.m. Please pray that it may be fruitful.

11-15 YR OLDS: Mon 7th August - Thursday 10th August Parish trip to Faith Summer Break – This is a fruitful, well supervised time of fun (e.g.Games, Swimming sports & Chessington Theme Pk) and faith (e.g. Talks & Prayer) at Woldingham School, Surrey. Forms from Fr. Hugh.

HOSPITAL ADMISSIONS patients should be asked if they wish to see a Chaplain. This fairly new statutory requirement is not yet being universally applied. It is sensible for patients wishing to see a Roman Catholic Chaplain to specify this on arrival, emphasizing ‘Roman Catholic’.

COMING UP IN THE AUTUMN IN THE PARISH

© New helper based in Clergy House, Chris Hack. He has just graduated and wants to experience parish life for a year.

© New ‘Echoes’ training and reflection opportunity for anyone involved in any way in organizing parish activities.

© A new spiritual/creative group for all ages growing out of our recent musical production
© Enhanced Marriage Preparation course will start Thursday 28th September. Those parishioners planning to get married in or out of the parish are encouraged to give six months notice.

© New-look JOURNEY IN FAITH group will start for those Catholics and non-Catholics interested in learning more about the Catholic Faith.

© Our other Sacramental Preparation programmes will all have developments. We will be interviewing in the Autumn. Watch newsletter in October.

© Enhanced Youth SVP will start for post-Confirmation youngsters.

© Youth Club will re-start 26th September, with even more exciting activities! Places for new members (Yrs 6-8) will be v. limited initially (it’s partly dependent of more helpers!) - 1st come 1st serve.– watch this space for application forms.

© New regular training & spiritual support for altar servers

© All our other groups will be restarting helping those involved and those they serve and are connected with to grow in their journey towards the life of God.


HOLY MASS, the heart of all this work will continue as normal throughout August, every day. The holiday time can be a great chance to get to Mass more often to found the fruitfulness of the rest of our year. Times on back of newsletter
