NEW PARISH LIBRARY coming very soon to the new Annexe bookshelves, with some spiritual books and some on parenting – to start with. Librarian needed! PARENTS of teenagers: The Family Education Trust’s Excellent “Sexual Spin” fact sheets are available for free from Repository. These give useful and objective facts concerning the epidemic and increasing levels of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) among young people. The Government has just launched yet another big campaign attempting to halt the epidemic. But yet again its message lacks any serious moral message and so it is likely to make things worse. The Department of Health’s press release of 11th Nov is entitled: “New sexual health campaign reveals 'essential wear' for young adults”. It encourages young people out “on the pull” to make condoms part of their essential socializing ‘equipment’. ADVENT REFLECTION Thurs 7th Dec 7:30 p.m. St Agnes’s, Cricklewood Lane, a meditative hour with flute, piano, song and text. Retiring collection in aid of Rwandan music therapy project. HANDELS’ MESSIAH by Cardinal Vaughan school’s choir, Tues 12th Dec, 7:30 pm. Tickets from £12 to £28 in aid of new music centre.

NEW PARISH LIBRARY coming very soon to the new Annexe bookshelves, with some spiritual books and some on parenting – to start with. Librarian needed!PARENTS of teenagers: Government’s STD Campaign and free leaflets. Due to the epidemic and increasing levels of sexually transmitted diseases among young people the government have just launched a big new advertizing drive affirming contraceptives as basic “clothing”. The Department of Health’s press release of 11th Nov is entitled: “New sexual health campaign reveals 'essential wear' for young adults”. This is more of the same policy which has so failed our young people in recent decades in terms of both their physical and moral health. Although this latest campaign happens to be aimed at 18-24 yr olds, as ever its amoral approach will impact upon far younger people. -. Excellent “Sexual Spin” fact sheets are available for free from Repository. These can (truly) help to protect our youngsters against this latest attack.
