PARENTS of teenagers: Government’s STD Campaign and free leaflets. Due to the epidemic and increasing levels of sexually transmitted diseases among young people the government have just launched a big new advertizing drive affirming contraceptives as basic “clothing”. The Department of Health’s press release of 11th Nov is entitled: “New sexual health campaign reveals 'essential wear' for young adults”. This is more of the same policy which has so failed our young people in recent decades in terms of both their physical and moral health. Although this latest campaign happens to be aimed at 18-24 yr olds, as ever its amoral approach will impact upon far younger people. -. Excellent “Sexual Spin” fact sheets are available for free from Repository. These can (truly) help to protect our youngsters against this latest attack.

FAITH IN FOCUS: talks & social events for 20’s & 30’s. Mon 20th Nov, 7p.m. Light in Dark Places- Fr Roger Nesbitt, Dean of Dover, speaks on “Mary at Cana and Calvary: Mother of the Church and Model of the Church St Vincent’s Centre, Carlisle Pl, Victoria.
