Week of 9th March 2008
After Mass today:
o The Parish “Green Theme” Dinner & Dance Tickets will be available. It will be held on Sat 29th March at St Mary Magdalen’s School, Linacre Road. £10 adults, £5 children. This has been a fun evening in the past. Please support this social event.
o There are Confessions after every Mass.
o Easter cards & Lenten books in the repository.


THIS WEEK
Tuesday: WHO DID YOU PRAY FOR IN THE LEAD-UP TO OUR MISSION? Maybe you could invite them to pop into our SEEKERS GROUP which holds it’s 3rd evening this Tuesday.

Thursday Our Popular “In Search of a still and peaceful mind” Group meets Thursday 13th March, 8 pm Annexe. – followed by Wednesday 2nd April, Thursday 24th April

Friday: St Patrick’s Day Masses Masses will be 9.30 am,12 noon and 7pm (NOT the 17th this year which falls in Holy Week this year. Due to steeply escalating prices, shamrock will be in short supply. One sprig each please, on a first come first serve basis.

Friday: Youth Club last eve before Easter this Friday. Start again April 18th. Leader meeting April 11th 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Saturday: Golden Threads- 2.00pm-3.30pm. All welcome to attend a talk on “The church” in the Annexe. Why does the Church exist? You do not need to have attended other talks.


HOLY WEEK
LENT PENITENTIAL SERVICE will take place on Tuesday (18th) at 7.30pm. With the opportunity for individual confession.

Year 5/6 Youth Club LEADERS’ meeting Wednesday 19th March, Clergy House 7:30 pm
The Church will be closed on the Wednesday of Holy Week for a few hours in the afternoon for floor polishing etc.

The annual ecumenical GOOD FRIDAY procession will not happen this year, due to significant organizational difficulties concerning two of the Christian communities in our area.

Morning Prayer at 7:45am weekdays, except Wed.s, & 8:15am weekends
SPIRITUAL READING check out our new parish library in Annexe.

TRIDUUM REHEARSALS
For Maundy Thursday: Thursday 20th: 11:30 am – 1:00 pm
For Good Friday: Friday 21st: 10:15 am - 11:45 am
For Easter Vigil: Saturday 22nd: 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Servers need to make whole of rehearsal, Readers for a period towards beginning of rehearsal, Extraordinary Ministers for a period towards end of rehearsal.


The Cricklewood Homeless Centre- was officially opened on Thursday 28th Feb. The food collections will continue on the last weekend of each month. Many thanks to all the parishioners who have supported the collections throughout the past.


CONGRATULATIONS TO MARTIN PLUNKETT who has been accepted to train for the Westminster Diocesan priesthood. He will go to Allen Hall in September. Please pray for him.


 10.30 Mass:Children reading & bringing up offertory. If you would like your child to do this,& they are not currently doing so regularly, please give name&contact details to Clergy House.

 New Servers those in Year 5 and above may now apply to become a server by giving contact details and Year to one of the priests or Clergy House. Servers must be able to come to six weekly Thursday 5 p.m. practices from 6th May (no practice on May 27th) and thereafter to a termly practice/reflection.

 Easter Rotas for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy communion & Readers available at the back of the Church and Ministers & Readers are asked to sign up to whichever service they will be attending. Copies of the completed forms will be posted to all involved.


11-15 YR OLDS: Mon 11th August - Thursday 14th August Parish trip to Faith Summer Break – This is a fruitful, well supervised time of fun (e.g.Games, Swimming sports & Chessington Theme Pk) and faith (e.g. Talks & Prayer) at Woldingham School, Surrey. Forms from Fr. Hugh.

15 -30 Yr OLDS FAITH SUMMER SESSION – Mon 4th August – Friday 8th August Quality talks in a holiday atmosphere at Woldingham School, Surrey. Fr Hugh is leading a group.
