Padre Pio Prayer Group will meet in Our Lady's Chapel on Thursday 6th November at 8.00pm for Mass, Rosary and prayers for the sick.

BETHANY MASS- Friday 7th November, 7:30 pm. For all those who have passed away in the last year, especially those whose funerals were here. All parishioners very welcome.

FRIDAY MORNING HOLY HOUR will commence 14th November, 8am – 9am

CONFIRMATION course for those in Year Nine will start in late January with initial meeting with the candidates on Saturday 10th January. Appointments will need to be booked before Christmas, but not yet! Watch this space. Confirmation will take place on 13th June 2009

Family Quiz & Parish Raffle Night will be held on Friday 28th November in the Jesus and Mary Convent School Park Ave 8-00pm. The Parish Raffle will also be held on that night. There will be a bar and Soft Drinks will be available. Entrance fee will be £3 for adults and £1 for Children. Tickets for the Raffle will be distributed, 10 books to each family on Sunday 9th Nov and Quiz Tickets on sale following all Masses for the following 3 Sundays. In aid of Church boilers

 It is be possible to sign up for our Autumn Reflection groups which will reflect and pray and share about some of St Paul’s writing – on the theme Appointed by God (the Church is currently celebrating a year in celebration of the two thousandth anniversary of St Paul). See orange cards in the benches. These groups will meet for six weeks on an evening probably chosen by you. Please place cards in small plastic basket at back of give to a priest or Clergy House.

After the Summer, the Government plans to force through its human embryology Bill, meaning easier abortion and creating animal/human mixed embryos, among other attacks on human life. Most people believe this is wrong, and that it's time to draw the line. Please make sure you have informed our MP of our respect for innocent human life however weak and defenceless, a belief that has been at the heart of western civilization.
