We take up our monthly Schools’ Building & Refurbishing Collection.
Urgent Letter from the Bishops of England and Wales on the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill in the porch (blue A4)
At back are October My Day by Day’s and Bible Alive’s and (in porch wall holder near exit) 12 ways to avoid losing your house (blue and white leaflet)
Please pray for the Union of Catholic Mothers Annual Pilgrimage which goes to Aylesford this morning (9 a.m.)
Next Weekend it will be possible to sign up for our Autumn Reflection groups which will reflect and pray and share about some of St Paul’s writing – on the theme Appointed by God (the Church is currently celebrating a year in celebration of the two thousandth anniversary of St Paul). These groups will meet for six weeks on an evening probably chosen by you.
Saturday 16th: See front of newsletter for our Golden Threads course to learn about the Catechism. All are very encouraged to take part in this.
SECONDARY SCHOOL TRANSFER
Parents should now phone Clergy Ho. THIS WEEK between 10 and 2 on a weekday, for a very brief meeting for parent and child (and filled-in forms, if at all possible!). The last interview session will be Tuesday 21st October. This will be the last time Fr Hugh will be available. It will not be possible to sign forms after this.
First Holy Communion Preparation 2009 for Year 3 (& above) Introductory letter and forms will be available next week.
Parents of Children at non-Catholic schools, Year three at upwards who have not received their First Holy Communion – please give details to Clergy House concerning a brief course to prepare for the Frist Holy Communion course

FIRE: Following our candlestand fire last month we would remind all (and their children) not to place candles anywhere except in their own, unique, metal circular holder.
