Week of 3rd January 2010
MAY 2010 BE BLESSED FOR YOU AND YOURS. Fr Hugh, Fr Kieran, and Sr Lily assure you of their hopes and prayers for a Year of Our Lord of growing peace and joy in Our Lord. They are deeply grateful for your loving support over the last year including the kind cards and gifts over this festive period and the very generous Christmas Day collection. Thank you to our Readers, ministers of Communion, Servers, Musicians, Collectors, church cleaners, flower arrangers and others, for their very active support of all our worship in the Church.
Hope you enjoyed the Christmas flowers – donations gratefully received in the flower box which is half way up the left hand side wall of the church.
Please pray for Fr John Peter Sandanam who was living with us fir the last three months, as part of his sabbatical year, and has now returned to Bangalore. We thank him for his very positive presence amongst us,

BACK OF THE CHURCH
• Westminster Year Book on sale in repository.
• Booklets - Latest Bible Alive and My Day by Day on Newspaper rack
SUNDAY MASS
• We have always been lucky here to have so many coming to Sunday Mass (which includes Sat 6:30) to centre their life upon Christ (this is an obligation laid upon us by the Creator through the Church).
• We speak to Him before Mass, He speaks to us during Mass, we speak to each other after Mass (after our thanksgiving, outside or in the Annexe).
• The Gospel which is solemnly read at Sunday Mass is on the back of this newsletter.
• Please do not use mobile phones during Mass.
• We are always very pleased to have many young families amongst us. Lively participation is a good sign, and not easily controlled but if it’s becoming a bit noisy the Annexe is usually open during Mass which can be heard there through a loud speaker.
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION Parents’ meeting on Thurs Jan 7th at 7.30pm at St MM Junior School. Linacre Road. Start of programme for children on Jan 11 at 6-7pm?
CONFIRMATION 2010 – Beige application forms at back. Please ring Clergy House between 10 and 2, Mon-Thursday to arrange a brief meeting with parent and candidate on Saturday 16th January
PARENTS EVENING on Monday 25th January, Confirmation preparation starts on 1st February.
CHURCH DOORS AND FONT COVER – These have been varnished to a high standard and we are happy to advise that the cost of same has been met from collection taken at Memorial Mass for our late parishioner, Patrick Conneally.
PARKING IN CHURCH FORECOURT – SUSPENSION Very unfortunately, we have had to suspend parking in Church Forecourt due to damage to the flagstones which has made them unsafe for pedestrians. The Diocesan Surveyor will look at the area in the New Year to ascertain whether it can be modified for vehicular traffic. Many apologies for the significant inconvenience this may cause some.
