This weekend we take up our monthly Cricklewood homeless collection – and take up a retiring collection for Anscombe Bioethics centre & other life-related activities. Gift Aid envelopes in porch

See also new popular colour children’s books on the Pope in repository – e.g. a Q/A book “Why does the Pope wear white” and “Benedict and Chico” – the Pope’s cat tells his story.

CHANGES IN PERSONELL NEXT ACADEMIC YEAR

● Celia Edwards will be stepping back from her work with the First Holy Communion preparation course, and some other things but will continue to be involved in our Journey in Faith group. We thank her for her great work in developing our 1st Holy Communion prog.
● We are very pleased to announce the appointment of a new Youth Worker, Rachel Webb. She is a young Scottish lady with experience in this type of work. She will be focussing upon our three clubs, and will introduce herself in Sept. She will also be working at Ealing Abbey.


SUMMERTIME

Spiritual
- Weekday Morning Prayer in the Church on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
- HOLY MASS, the heart of all this work will continue as normal throughout the summer, every day. The holiday time can be a great chance to get to Mass more often to found the fruitfulness of the rest of our year. Times on back of newsletter
- Our Annual procession of Our Lady, Immaculate Queen of the Universe will take place through the streets on 22nd August.

PAPAL VISIT: Please pray hard over the summer for the success of this visit

Mini Mission: 10th-12th September, the weekend before the Papal visit we will be having a Youth led mini mission, starting with evening prayer on Friday and inviting local people into our Church on the Saturday evening, and having an Anointing of the Sick service on the Sunday afternoon.

Sunday 19th September: We are planning to screen the beatification live in the Junior School hall. Watch for details of a possible rearrangement of Mass schedule to make attendance at this screening as easy as possible for parishioners.

We hope to have similar arrangements for at least some of the other Papal Visit events.

This weekend is the last weekend to sign up to get a ticket to be present for the two main events in England. Yellow slips for the Sunday, 19th, morning Beatification (leaving 5am, cost £25), white slips for the Saturday, 18th, afternoon and evening Hyde Park Vigil.

Many thanks for those who supported the recent prodigal son play, performed by member of our Prayer and Play group. £256 was raised towards our Lourdes trip.
