Leave for Marie Stopes clinic
After Today’s Masses Tony Thomas who will be working in the parish this year, will introduce himself.

The October parish magazine is on sale at back of Church

In the Annexe there are some paperback novels. 25p each goes towards Holy Angels, post-Tsunami school for poor children.

In-depth study of the Gospel of St Matthew continues next Tuesday evening – already over 20 taking part. 7.30pm -8.30ish. All are welcome.

Year 7/8 youth Club does not meet this Friday or the next. Starts again Nov 5th. Green forms at back.

Next Saturday: trip to pray outside Marie Stopes abortion clinic, near Warren St Tube station leave Clergy Ho 12:30 pm, or, given that there is a limited tube service get a 98 bus to Goodge Street and walk up. Or get off at Edgware Road and get the No.18 to Warren Street Station

Following Saturday:We will be having a prayer Vigil for Life in the Church starting at 7:30 pm

Towards Advent 10th Anniversary- Sat 6th Nov 10am, Westminster Cathedral Hall. Bookstalls displays showing the work of Britain’s many Catholic organisations. Opening ceremony by Archbishop Vincent Nichols. Free admissions, talks £2.50 each. Refreshments served all day with kids’ play corner

Memorial Mass and Reception for Sr Marie Therese Vooght
We will be celebrating a memorial Mass for Sr Marie Therese of the Convent of Jesus and Mary at the 10:00 am Mass on Saturday 27th November followed by a short celebratory ‘reception’.

We hope that many of her past pupils will wish to attend. If you are in touch with past pupils, who now live outside the parish, please let them know of this event in case they would also wish to attend.

• There will be special Papal Visit retiring collection (for the second time!)
• It is possible to hand in plain white envelopes for last Friday’s Family Fast Day, towards the expansion of a Sri Lankan school for poor children and orphans rebuilt after the Tsunami: Holy Angels Girls School of Hope, Payagala.
• 'Stop TV Ads for Abortion Services': leaflets will be given out after Mass today. Please support this important campaign.

Our Lady of Willesden October Procession: Today Sun 10th October 7 pm, following the famous statue of the Black Madonna through the streets of NW10. Homily by Fr David Irwin, an RC formerly the Anglican vicar of St Andrews. 1, Nicoll Rd

Next Sunday is the Pioneers annual rally in Cricklewood

Our Journey in Faith group is just beginning – for any who would like to consider becoming Catholic (or getting Confirmed) – Sat 10:30 Annexe.

Signing of secondary school transfer forms by Fr Hugh. It is still possible to ring Clergy House between 10-2 Mon/Thurs for a slot. The child must attend this meeting. 14th October is the final date.

Many thanks for the very generous collection towards the Pakistani flood victims through Caritas International, which was taken up during the August holiday period. It reached £1,516

Week of 3rd October 2010
Schools Building & Refurbishment Fund- collection during all Masses this weekend.

This Friday is family fast day, Towards the expansion of a Sril Lankan school for poor children and orphans rebuilt after the Tsunami: Holy Angels Girls School of Hope, Payagala. Please take white envelopes from the back and place any monies saved from fasting this Friday for return in the collection next weekend.


Next weekend there will be special Papal Visit retiring collection (for the second time!)


Next Saturday is the first celebration of the Feast of Blessed John Henry Newman. 10 am Mass will celebrate this feast.


POPE AND NEWMAN
In porch near the exit of the Church there are white A5 booklets with all of the addresses given by the Pope during his recent visit to tour land. Please take AND READ.

Also see prayer cards in the porch. And yet more copies of Newman’s 1879 moving and very prophetic “Biglietto speech” on receiving the Cardinal’s hat (white A5 booklets)


Latest Bible Alive, My Day by Day and FAITH magazine (numerous prominent writers on understanding Jesus Christ more fully as the fulfilment of Creation) on paper rack
