Friday: Third of our Advent Reflections – The Yearning for Christ of Fallen Man, 7pm, By Fr Roger Nesibtt, Dean of Dover and President of FAITH movement. Adoration,
7:30 pm Talk followed by refreshments and discussion.
Fri: PCYG & young adults invited to Catholic Underground live concert @Leicester Sq
Saturday: Next Saturdays 6:30 pm Mass will involve some of the beautiful music we have heard before from Voices Inspired.
Sunday Tonight & next Sun night our new young adults group meets at 8pm. For 18-35 yr olds these meetings are mainly taking place at Ealing Abbey, and comprise Advent talk-discussion-prayer and then social in Ealing Abbey’s congenial bar. Organised by Rachel Kidd our new youth worker- Talk to Fr Hugh- we can help with transport

Magdala: Coming to an end? The publishing and sub-editorial company for our parish magazine Magdala will cease production this coming March. We are considering how to develop this magainze. Any ideas please see Fr Hugh or Kathy MacKen
COMING UP
From Pope Benedict, in 1986: “Advent’s intention is to awaken the most profound and basic emotional memory within us, namely, the memory of the God who became a child. This is a healing memory; it brings hope. … It is the beautiful task of Advent to awaken in all of us memories of goodness and thus to open doors of hope."
Our Advent penitential service is planned for Monday 20th December, 7:30 pm
Public witness with our local Missionaries of Mother Teresa of Calcutta through are a Carol Concert on Sunday 19th December at 4:00 pm in Kilburn High Rd Fr Hugh, among others from here, will be there.
Carols by Candlelight, with Nativity play: Sunday 19th December 4:30 pm- Nativity rehearsals for children of primary school age - start next Friday 3:30, in the Church
Confirmation Preparation Course for those in Year Nine: This will start early in 2010. Watch this space for times for introductory meetings.
Primary School Applications. It is still possible to book a Dec appointment with Fr Hugh for him to sign forms. Deadline is Christmas. Please phone Clergy Ho, 10-2.
POPE’S RECENT COMMENTS: In a book length interview Pope Benedict recently made a subtle but important point concerning a complicated moral situation which has become a more prominent issue in the wake of the rise of promiscuity in the modern world and its awful effects. His words have been very prominently mis-interpreted by the national media as affecting basic Catholic teaching on the marital act. This misinterpretation to do with a widespread mis-perception of Catholic teaching. Please see the white A4 sheets in porch, where we have attempted to explain the situation.
Our Lady of Willesden- Tuesday 7th December at 6.50pm for benediction and vigil Mass at 7.00pm. A small community pilgrimage to the diocesan Shrine of our Lady of Willesden.
Refreshments and a short talk on the history of the shrine afterwards. All are very welcome.
Kings Hall Community Centre Christmas Fair – 11th December from 1.30pm – 4.00pm. Tombolas, Cake sale, Father Christmas and much more. Come and enjoy a family day.
