Third Sunday in Lent Year A 27th March 2011 v.2

SUNDAYS • After Masses today two sisters of the Holy Family of the Needy, who have recently moved into the parish, will introduce themselves • Today’s 10.30am Mass will be offered for the repose of the soul of the late Sr Winifred O’Brien of the Little Sisters of the Assumption, Kenneth Cres. See poster • This Mass will also involve the inscription of First Holy Communion children in preparation for their reception of First Confession. • Next Sunday’s 10:30 am Mass will involve the Rite of Acceptance of some young people becoming Catholics. • The Voices Inspired group who have been singing at Sat 6:30 pm Masses will now do this on the first Saturday of each month. • The latest Bible Alive, My Day by Day and Messenger magazines are on the newspaper rack at the back. • SERVERS:The 10 min rule:We ask servers not to enter sacristy after 10 mins before the Mass begins,&if they do so arrive at Church to stay in congregation for worship. There is a meeting for Parents of children preparing for their First Holy Communion this Monday at 6pm in the Junior school, running concurrently with the children’s class. Next Saturday: Certificate in Catechesis course begins at Ealing Abbey. We have a good number interested in starting (who will be contacted re: travel etc). Another 11 are half way through the 2 yrs. Many apologies to the many who did sign up. We will let you know the new dates soon. Tom Territ will be around after Mass to answer any queries. • Anointing of the Sick- Westminster Cathedral: Sat 19th Feb 2011 2:30 pm– Mass celebrated by Archbishop Vincent Nichols & Auxiliary Bishops and others in Westminster Cathedral. The sick and infirm, as well as Catholic doctors and nurses are invited to participate. (see Poster at back).
