TODAY 10th July

PARISH FAMILY DAY – To mark the feast of St Mary Magdalen, we are holding another of our popular family days at Willesden Sports Stadium to-day, commencing at 12. noon with Mass followed by games and entertainment - including races, bouncy castle, face painting etc. You are encouraged to bring picnic food – teas and coffees plus an ice cream van will be available on site.
• There will be no 12 noon Mass in Church
• As our choirs will be singing at this 12 noon mass at the sports stadium, the 10.30 Mass in church will be a ‘quiet’ mass.

Because of the above two events today’s pastoral letter from Archbishop Nichols on receiving Holy Communion will be read in two weeks time. There are copies at the back. The Archbishop explains that authorities in Rome has affirmed that it is the norm in England and Wales to receive Holy Communion in a very reverent standing posture, but that individuals have the right to receive kneeling, expressing humility before God.
