30th Sunday of the Year – 23rd October 2011
Parish update

• Confirmation: will take place on Saturday 12th May 2012 at 12:00 noon. Application forms are now available at back of church – consists of 3 parts – application, letter to parents and programme dates. Applicants should be in Year 9 or above.

• First Holy Communion: 1st Holy Communion dates, will be announced soon. Application forms and programme details will be ready shortly.

• Cricklewood Homeless: monthly collection of non perishable food stuffs after all masses next weekend.

• Union of Catholic Mothers: thanks to all who supported the Coffee morning in aid of MacMillan Cancer Care - £350 was raised for this worthy charity.

• Church flowers: Flowers placed at our altars by parishioners are very welcome and are a wonderful sign of our devotion. Please note however that dried or imitation flowers are not permitted and will be removed as they contravene health and safety regulations in so far as they are a fire risk. It should also be noted that on occasion fresh flowers left in the Church may be incorporated into larger altar displays.


Extraordinary Ministers rotas will be available for collection this weekend from the Sacristy.

Catholic Radio: Presents in concert , Gerry Coates, catholic singer, songwriter and poet on 6th November at 7.00pm at Our Lady Immaculate & St Andrew Parish Hall 16 Nightingale Rd Hitchin – full details at back of Church.

The 4th Annual Fr. Simon Golf Cup: will take place on Sunday 6th November at Thorney Park Golf Club in Iver. All keen golfers, male and female, young and old, novices and others are welcome to take part, so put your names on the list in The Heston Catholic Social Club or email heston@rcdow.org.uk. Proceeds from this event will go to Our Lady’s Stay & Play, a playgroup serving the local community.

Good Counsel Network: Fundraising Ball Saturday 19th November at Ognisko, 55 Exhibition Road. South Kensington – full details at back of Church or call 020 7723 1740 also each month we call for a National day of prayer and fasting for the end of Abortion and Euthanasia. This month’s day is Thursday 27th October. Please pray and fast on this day. Westminster - events

Vocations Discernment Group- next meeting for men and women (18-30’s) will be on Friday 28th October -700-9.00pm in the Hinsley Room in Morpeth Terrace, next to Westminster Cathedral. Join the seminary for a day: Saturday 26th November there will be a special day for men, aged 18+, who are discerning a possible calling to the priesthood. The day will be held at Allen Hall seminary and will include input from the seminary Rector, Mgr Mark O’Toole, as well as time for prayer and a chance to join the seminary community.
