Parish update

•First Holy Communion: All forms must be completed with the baptismal certificate attached and returned to the parish office. The closing date is the 30th November. The first parents’ meeting will be with Fr Kevin in church on the 15th December at 7.30pm.

•Cricklewood Homeless Concern- collection of non perishable foods after all Masses next weekend.

•Repository- Advent wreaths & calendars, Christmas cards, cribs, candles, books & 2012 calendars now on sale.


•St Mary Magdalen’s Wednesday Club- Autumn Bring & Buy- Weds 23rd Nov
1.30pm-3.00pm. Raffle, refreshments, groceries, bric-a-brac. All welcome.

•Notice to all Readers. There will be a meeting for all readers, including spiritual formation on Saturday 3rd December at 2:00-3:30pm. These readers will be re-commissioned at their ‘normal’ Masses the following day (Sunday 4th Dec), the second Sunday of Advent, also called ‘Bible Sunday’. Please put these dates in your diaries now

•Carol Concert: This year’s Nativity & Carol Concert will be held on Sunday 18th December at 3.30pm in Church.

•The Social Events Committee welcomes new members. This would give you the opportunity to take part in the organising of our social events & raising funds for various Parish needs as they arise. Please leave your details in the office.

•Altar Servers –Please note there are no rotas. You are welcome to serve anytime you come to Mass.
•Would the lady who volunteered to be reader at 9:00am Mass and gave her details to
Fr Kieran, please contact Clergy House.

Something worthwhile for Advent - “A foretaste of heaven.” This booklet is from the Diocese of Westminster‘s exploring faith series and contains six group sessions for faith –sharing and a series of questions on what we believe about the Eucharist & the Mass. £1.50

Vocations Discernment Group for young adults (18-30’s) is on Friday 25 November with a talk by Sr Mary Forrest, SMG on “Prayer and Discernment”. 7-9pm in the Hinsley Room, Morpeth Terrace next to Westminster Cathedral. Join the seminary for a day! On Saturday 26th November there will be a special day for men, aged 18+, who are discerning a possible calling to the priesthood. The day will be held at Allen Hall seminary and will include input from the seminary Rector, Mgr Mark O’Toole, as well as time for prayer and a chance to join the seminary community. Celebration of Our Lady of Lourdes, with Anointing of the Sick, on Saturday 11th February 2012 at 2.00 pm. The Archbishop will be the Chief Celebrant, at the annual Mass in honour of Our Lady of Lourdes, in the Cathedral. The Sacrament of the Sick will be administered during the Mass by the Archbishop, Auxiliary Bishops and Priests who will be concelebrating the Mass. Please contact the parish office with your details if you would like to attend this Mass.
