Parish update
• Confirmation: Meeting for parents and candidates Monday 12th December at 7.30pm in the Convent of Jesus & Mary Infant School, Park Avenue, Willesden Green.
• First Holy Communion: The first parents’ meeting will be with Fr Kevin in the church on the 15th December at 7.30pm.
• Carol Concert: This year’s Nativity & Carol Concert will be held on Sunday 18th December at 3.30pm in the church.
• Readers and Extra-ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion: please sign up for the various Masses on Christmas Day and Sunday 1st January. Forms are at the back of the Church.
• Church Cleaning: on Tuesday 20th December the church will close immediately after 9.30am Mass for polishing the floor.
• Parish email is now willesdengreen@rcdow.org.uk.: please use this email for future correspondence.
• Choirs or Groups of Singers in our parish who would like to take part in our Carol Concert on Sunday December 18th at 3.30pm should contact Brigid on 0208 459 17510.
• Westminster Yearbook 2012 is now available to buy in the Repository.

Annual Christmas Elders Party at the Crown Moran Hotel, Wednesday 14th December 12.00 till 5.30pm - £10.00.
The Emerald Day Centre run by BIAS every Friday has spaces available. Open to all older Irish Adults living in any borough. Provides lunch, Mass, activities & entertainment. Will take Social Services’ referrals or privately. For access and enquiries to the service please contact Ann or Hyni 020 8459 6655.
Volunteer wanted - To do administration with excel/word work 2 days per week, Monday & Friday. Call Christina at BIAS 020 8459 6655.
Advent Retreat: There will be an Advent retreat on Sat 17th December at St Benedict’s Parish, Ealing Abbey from 10:00am to 4:30 pm. The retreat will be led by a Benedictine monk and a Franciscan Friar. There will be talks on Lectio Divina, with Holy Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, Divine Office, Silent Reflection and Sacrament of Confession. See poster at the back of the Church. There is a £10 charge for a hot meal. Please apply either directly to Ealing (using appropriate forms) or via Deacon Michael.
St Vincent De Paul: is distributing cold-weather packs to rough sleepers and your donation is invited to cover the cost of £3 per pack. Please post to The S.V.P. c/o 46 Brunswick Court, Regency St., SW1P 4AE, and say if you would like your name labelled on the pack.

Youth of the Parish - If you are young person or a young adult, you may be interested in coming along to the Flame Congress, 24 March 2012 in Wembley. Many thousands of young Catholics are expected to attend. There will be local and international speakers to help us grow in the faith, as well as music and an atmosphere of joy and participation. The Youth Support Team (YST) and the Diocesan Youth Chaplain, Fr. David Reilly want to encourage young people Yr 10+ and young adults in parish groups to attend this event. New Year’s Resolution: Volunteer for CAFOD! Do you have good public speaking skills and want to help tackle poverty and injustice? CAFOD needs volunteers to speak in parishes about its work in the developing world. Come to “Understanding CAFOD” Day on Saturday, 21 January to learn how to get involved. St. Joseph’s Pastoral Centre has responsibility for the support of people with learning disabilities. We work with families in the parishes of the Diocese and at a Centre mainly for adults in Hendon. We seek people to join the Management Committee, ‘critical friend’ to St. Joseph’s, in a voluntary role.
