Special Needs Group. The group has been very grateful to the parishioners over the years for their generous financial support. We are now in great need of new members who are willing to give up some time to join us in our support work. If you wish to know more about our work or are interested in becoming a committee member please contact Sally on 07891 105 221.
Cricklewood Homeless Concern. Collection of non perishable foods after all Masses this weekend.
Terrible Twos. You might not know this but if your little bundle of joy is driving you mad during Mass, the Annexe is open if you’d like a little respite. There is a speaker in there so you can hear Mass but you won’t be able to see the priest…thank Heavens for small mercies.
May Procession in honour of Our Lady, Friday 1st June at 11.00am in the Convent of Jesus and Mary Infant School, Park Avenue. All parishioners are welcome.
Seekers/ Enquires. Do you know of anyone interested in becoming a Catholic? Are you, or do you know, an adult who was baptised, but was never confirmed? Do you know of anyone who has stopped practicing their faith, but who may be persuaded to return? Are you a regular practicing Catholic who just wishes to understand their faith a bit better? If the answer is ‘Yes’ to any question, we are holding a series of ‘seekers’ meetings where any questions you may have can be asked and answered. All are welcome. The meetings will be in the Annexe at 7:30 pm on the following Tuesdays - 29th May, 12th June, 26th June and 10th July. Just turn up.
Pilgrimage to Lourdes. October 6th -9th 2012. Cost £400 inclusive of Insurance, transfers to the Airports and full board at the Grand Basilique Hotel. The pilgrimage will include trips to Bartres and San Pierre. Contact John O’Sullivan on 0208 459 0279.

Diocesan Communications Officer. This position will be to co-ordinate internal and external communications of the Catholic Church in Westminster. Together with an understanding of the Church’s teachings the successful applicant would possess significant experience in journalism PR or corporate communications. Hours of work Monday to Friday and occasional evening and weekend work when required. Closing date 31st May 2012, Interview date 7th /8th June. Adult Faith Formation Retreat – ‘Jesus as Model of Servant-Leadership in Lay Ministry', a diocesan retreat let by Fr John Farrell OP for parish adult faith formation leaders, volunteers and those who would like to get involved in parish adult faith formation. 'I am the Vine you are the Branches' (John 15) ' Use words which build up and provide what is needed' ( Ephesians 4.29). Saturday 2nd June 2012 from 10.30am to 3pm in Douai Abbey, Upper Woolhampton, Reading, Berkshire, RG7 5TQ. Suggested minimum donation is £5 for the day. Please bring your own lunch. Her Majesty the Queen. A special Mass to mark the Diamond Jubilee of the Queen will be held in Westminster Cathedral on Tuesday 5th June at 5pm. All are welcome but it is advisable to arrive early as not many seats are unreserved.
The annual Vocations Pilgrimage to Walsingham for men and women is on Saturday 16th June. This year's theme is "Mary, Mother of the Word and Mother of Joy". For more details and to book a place on the coach (cost £10), contact Fr Richard at richardnesbitt@rcdow.org.uk
Celebrate Love marriage enrichment seminar Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th June 2012 at St Joseph’s, Hendon NW4 4TY. Over two packed non-residential days, with the help of God’s grace and insights from Blessed John Paul II’s Theology of the Body, rediscover the joy of being in love. £90 per couple including lunch, refreshments & Saturday evening celebratory dinner. Brightlights Festival. Friday 29th June to Monday 2nd July at Aylesford Priory. This is an opportunity for young Catholic adults to reflect on and renew their faith as well as meet likeminded people of their faith. Contact 0845 805 7010 or www.brightlights.org.uk for bookings and information.
‘Everybody has a place’ 2nd July is a conference is to be held at Westminster Central Hall. It will focus on faith, disability and sport. Professor John Swinton, Prof David Jones and Baroness Sheila Hollins and Dr Pia Matthews are all speaking alongside Archbishop Peter Smith. We are hoping to attract 300 people to the conference and are currently securing other key speakers from the world of sport and disability theology. The conference will be a springboard for ongoing reflection and pastoral engagement with people with disabilities in faith communities. While this ecumenical initiative it is being led by the Catholic Church.
