PARISH UPDATE

Special Needs Group. The group has been very grateful to the parishioners over the years for their generous financial support. We are now in great need of new members who are willing to give up some time to join us in our support work. If you wish to know more about our work or are interested in becoming a committee member please contact Sally on 07891 105 221.

Repository. A selection of First Holy Communion items are now on sale.

Parish Volunteers. Please inform the parish Safeguarding Representative Mrs Norrie Fox if you are leaving the parish.

The Good Counsel Network. Collection after all Masses this weekend.

The Union of Catholic Mothers Annual Mass. 16th May at 7.30pm in St Mary Magdalen School Hall, Linacre Road, NW2 5BB. Parishioners are welcome.

Parish Concert. The Annual Parish Concert will take place on Friday 18th May at 7.30pm in church, featuring Patricia Rosario and St Mary Magdalen Junior School Choir. Tickets £7 in advance, £10 on the night.

Pioneer Annual Pilgrimage to Aylesford, Kent. Sunday 20th May, coach tickets £12 leaving at 9.00am. Please bring a packed lunch. Contact 0208 459 6952 for further details.

Holy Rosary Novena. From the 14th May to 22nd May inclusive, the Holy Rosary Novena will take place in the church of the Transfiguration. Weekdays at 7.30pm, Saturday at 7pm and Sunday at 6pm. The Novena will consist of recitation of the rosary, devotions and novena prayer. All are welcome.

Seekers/ Enquires. Do you know of anyone interested in becoming a Catholic? Are you, or do you know, an adult who was baptised, but was never confirmed? Do you know of anyone who has stopped practicing their faith, but who may be persuaded to return? Are you a regular practicing Catholic who just wishes to understand their faith a bit better? If the answer is ‘Yes’ to any question, we are holding a series of ‘seekers’ meetings where any questions you may have can be asked and answered. All are welcome. The meetings will be in the Annexe at 7:30 pm on the following Tuesdays - 29th May, 12th June, 26th June and 10th July. Just turn up.

Banneux ND Pilgrimage. Join us on the feast of Pentecost for a few days of peace and tranquillity among the pine trees at the Virgin of the Poor shrine in Belgium 25th - 31st May. Archbishop’s Thanksgiving Mass for Matrimony in Westminster Cathedral on 26th May at 3pm for couples in the diocese celebrating their 10th, 25th, 40th, 50th and 60+ wedding anniversaries this year. Her Majesty the Queen. A special Mass to mark the Diamond Jubilee of the Queen will be held in Westminster Cathedral on Tuesday 5th June at 5pm. All are welcome but it is advisable to arrive early as not many seats are unreserved.

"Come and See" day for men (aged 18+) discerning a call to the priesthood at Allen Hall.The annual Vocations Pilgrimage to Walsingham for men and women is on Saturday 16 June.
