PARISH UPDATE
Special Needs Group. The group has been very grateful to the parishioners over the years for their generous financial support. We are now in great need of new members who are willing to give up some time to join us in our support work. If you wish to know more about our work or are interested in becoming a committee member please contact Sally on 07891 105 221.
Terrible Twos. You might not know this but if your little bundle of joy is driving you mad during Mass, the Annexe is open if you’d like a little respite. There is a speaker in there so you can hear Mass but you won’t be able to see the priest…thank Heaven for small mercies.
John Gallagher would like to thank everyone who has Masses offered for Jack, and for prayers and sympathy of so many. Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.
Padre Pio Mass. Thursday 7th June at 8.00pm. The Padre Pio Mitten will be present for individual blessings in church. All are welcome.
Corpus Christi. Sunday 10th June at 10.30am Mass for all First Holy Communion Children of 2012 to come dressed in their attire. There will be light refreshments served in the Annexe afterwards.
Seekers/ Enquires. Do you know of anyone interested in becoming a Catholic? Are you, or do you know, an adult who was baptised, but was never confirmed? Do you know of anyone who has stopped practicing their faith, but who may be persuaded to return? Are you a regular practicing Catholic who just wishes to understand their faith a bit better? If the answer is ‘Yes’ to any question, we are holding a series of ‘seekers’ meetings where any questions you may have can be asked and answered. All are welcome. The meetings will be in the Annexe at 7:30 pm on the following Tuesdays - 12th June, 26th June and 10th July. Just turn up.

Fifty Stewards Needed. Prayer Vigil 11pm on the 8th June to Midday 9th June at St Martin-in-the-fields, Trafalgar Square. Duties will include ensuring a prayerful atmosphere, seating people, distributing programmes. Please contact Barbara Kentish at justice@rcdow.org.uk or call 0208 888 4222 by 4th June.
Parish Administrator St Augustine’s, Hammersmith. The successful applicant will be organised and able to work to deadlines. The hours of work will be 25 per week, Monday to Friday. The salary range is from £9-11 per hour depending on experience. The closing date for

The annual Vocations Pilgrimage to Walsingham for men and women is on Saturday 16th June. This year's theme is "Mary, Mother of the Word and Mother of Joy". For more details and to book a place on the coach (cost £10), contact Fr Richard at richardnesbitt@rcdow.org.uk
Youth Programme Coordinator, St Monica’s, Palmers Green. The successful applicant will ideally be a practising Catholic with relevant qualifications in youth work. The salary range is £26,279-£30,000. The hours of work are 37.5 per week to include some evening and weekend work. Celebrate Love marriage enrichment seminar Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th June 2012 at St Joseph’s, Hendon NW4 4TY. Over two packed non-residential days, with the help of God’s grace and insights from Blessed John Paul II’s Theology of the Body, rediscover the joy of being in love. £90 per couple including lunch, refreshments & Saturday evening celebratory dinner. ‘Everybody has a place’ 2nd July is a conference is to be held at Westminster Central Hall. It will focus on faith, disability and sport. Professor John Swinton, Prof David Jones and Baroness Sheila Hollins and Dr Pia Matthews are all speaking alongside Archbishop Peter Smith. We are hoping to attract 300 people to the conference and are currently securing other key speakers from the world of sport and disability theology. The conference will be a springboard for ongoing reflection and pastoral engagement with people with disabilities in faith communities. While this is an ecumenical initiative it is being led by the Catholic Church.
St Dominic’s Sixth Form College. This successful college wishes to appoint a teacher of A-Level English, full time to start on Tuesday 28th August 2012. Details on the post are available www.stdoms.ac.uk.
Pilgrimage to Lourdes. October 6th -9th 2012. Cost £400 inclusive of Insurance, transfers to the Airports and full board at the Grand Basilique Hotel. The pilgrimage will include trips to Bartres and San Pierre. Contact John O’Sullivan on 0208 459 0279.
