Each session consists of a DVD presentation with subsequent discussion.  The DVD programme is presented by the American priest Fr Robert Barron. These are some comments already made about this programme:-
·  "This is the most important media project in the history of the Catholic Church in America. A stimulating and compelling exploration of the spiritual, moral, and intellectual riches of the Catholic world. "
·  "CATHOLICISM will be of great interest to viewers who want a better understanding of the impact and meaning this faith has throughout the world."
·  "One of Fr. Barron's great gifts is to be able to help the learner see how our own experience of human life fits into what God has graciously revealed to us through his Body, the Church."
. “In tying together art and culture, history and literature, beauty and truth, which is the wisdom - the timeless genius that CATHOLICISM is all about - he does it magnificently. And this is just what we need in the Catholic Church today.” - Archbishop Timothy M. Dolan, Archdiocese of New York.

"CATHOLICISM is filled with beauty, and Fr. Barron presents the enduring truths in such a clear and compelling way. CATHOLICISM will be a lasting resource for generations to come."

Parish News

Last week’s collection was £1878.32

Wednesday Club reopens 5 September at 1.30pm in Kings Hall, Harlesden Road. New members are welcome.

First Friday: This is a traditional devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, started by St Margaret Mary Alocoque, a 17th century French nun, in response to visions she received from Jesus. In this parish on the First Friday of each month at 7:00 pm, we have a Holy Hour with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, a short reading from Scripture and the writing of a saint, praying Vespers together and Benediction. This is a great opportunity to help develop your prayer life.

Journey in Faith: Do you know of anyone interested in becoming a Catholic, or just wanting to find out more about the Catholic Faith? Are you an adult who has not yet been confirmed? Our Journey in Faith group starts on Saturday 22nd September at 10:30am. Please give names of anyone interested in learning about the faith to Fr Kevin, Fr Rohitha or Deacon Michael.

Neophytes: Our monthly meetings for those received into the Church at Easter restart on Saturday 29th September at 12:00 noon.

Advance Notice—Year of Faith: You will be hearing a lot more about the ‘Year of Faith’ in due course. To start we will be running a 10 week ‘course’ on the Catholic Faith called Catholicism. It will be held on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 pm starting 2nd October. Fr. Robert Barron created the ground breaking CATHOLICISM ADULT STUDY PROGRAM as a thematic presentation of what Catholics believe and why, so all adults can come to a deeper understanding of the Catholic Faith.  It is not a video lecture, Church history or scripture study, but an engaging and interesting formational program using the art, architecture, literature, music and all the treasures of the Catholic tradition to illuminate the timeless teachings of the Church. Do seriously consider coming along.
