The 12 Noon Mass will be a Solemn Requiem for the Fallen. CTS Year of Faith Books. Thank you to those who supported the CTS Bookstall last week. For those who did not manage to visit, we do have a stock of some titles in the repository. There are also discounted Year C Sunday Missals (starting on 1st Sunday Advent.) Repository. A selection of Advent wreaths, candles, church art calendars , Christmas cards, cribs, books and Mass bouquets on sale. Weekly Catechesis Leaflets. Leaflet 5a of our ‘Year of Faith’ catechesis leaflets, part one of a summary of Salvation History as described in the historical books of the Old Testament, is available on the table in the porch. Keep these and they will build up into a ‘mini-catechism’ of 60 leaflets. Work Experience Scheme. Could your workplace offer a day’s work experience for a local student from Newman Catholic College? The icon will be on display for veneration by all who visit Westminster Cathedral from 4:00pm Monday 5th November until some time after the 5:30pm Mass which will be offered for the protection of the unborn. You Believe is a year long celebration of catechesis for young people drawing on the youth catechism of the Catholic Church. The opening of the centre for youth ministry and the first talk, which will be given by Archbishop Vincent Nichols, take place on Monday 6th November, 22 Phoenix Road, NW1 1TA at 7:00pm.See the poster at the back of the church for details. Supporting Parents in Passing on the Faith. This coming Saturday (10th November) from 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm at St Patrick’s Church, Soho Square, Dr Gerard O’Shea, Senior Lecturer at the John Paull III Institute of Marriage & Family, presents ‘As I Have Loved You’, a resource to help parents talk to their children about sexual development, relationships and responsibilities. All are welcome, especially parents, teachers & catechists. £5 admission. The book will be on sale during the event for £10.
